FOREWORD

Tibetan children fleeing their country across the Himalayas in search of education may seem a merely anecdotal story (this was the response of the Journalistic Fund Pascal Decroos (Belgium) to my request for financial support). However, on 30 September Western mountaineers witnessed the Chinese border police shooting on a group of Tibetan refugees and killing two children. For the first time images of such an incident reached us. The video was taken by a  Romanian cameraman and can be seen here :
